What is health emergency?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this condition is based on three main criteria. First, the problem must be serious, sudden or unusual. This is a kind of alert in which the government has to accept that the situation is no longer normal and it is necessary to take immediate action.
When does the government announce this?
It is not always declared, it also has some rules and regulations. It is declared in serious situations. Before declaring this, the situation becomes something like this –
- the infection is spreading rapidly
- There is a sudden increase in the crowd of patients in hospitals
- The system of normal treatment started breaking down
- There appears to be a direct threat to people’s lives
- pollution reaches dangerous levels
Then the government accepts that now an emergency has arisen and special steps will have to be taken.
What does the government do in health emergency?
- Provision of additional beds in hospitals
- Increasing medical staff, ambulance and facilities
- Temporary decisions on schools, offices or markets
- People advised to stay indoors
- Providing immediate medical resources
- If there is pollution, some activities will be banned
If we explain it in simple language, then due to some disease or health threat, the health of the entire city or state starts deteriorating and the normal system cannot handle it. Health emergency is declared for him.
