Miss Universe 2025 controversy is increasing. Even before the finale, two judges of the jury panel have resigned. One of these judges, Omar Harfouch, has claimed that the competition was rigged while sharing a video on social media. He has also accused a member of the jury panel of having an affair with a contestant. Whereas the second judge has announced his resignation without giving any reason.
While sharing the video on Instagram, Omar Harfouch said – ‘The unofficial judge panel includes people who have some personal relationship with some Miss Universe contestants due to which conflict of interest is possible, which also includes people responsible for counting of votes and result management, which further increases the conflict of interest.’
‘Disrespectful conversation’ with CEO of Miss Universe
Omar further said that she has resigned after an ‘insulting conversation’ with Miss Universe owner Raul Rocha. In such a situation, she is no longer a part of the judge panel of Miss Universe 2025. She said- ‘After a humiliating conversation with Miss Universe CEO Raul Rocha regarding the lack of transparency in the Miss Universe voting process, I have decided to resign from the jury and refuse to be a part of this drama. I will not even play the music composed for this event.
Claude Makélé also resigned from the judge panel
French football manager and ex-football professor Claude Makélélé has also resigned from the judge panel of Miss Universe 2025. Making a post on Instagram, he wrote – ‘Sadly, I will not be able to participate in Miss Universe 2025. Thank you for your understanding and support. In the caption accompanying the post, Claude said- ‘I regretfully have to announce that due to some personal reasons, I will not be able to attend the Miss Universe 2025 event. It was a difficult decision because I respect Miss Universe a lot.
Cloud further wrote- ‘This platform represents empowerment, diversity and excellence. Values that I have always supported throughout my career. I sincerely apologize to the organization, the contestants and everyone involved and hope that I will be able to contribute to this in better circumstances in the future.
MUO bans Omar Harfouch
Let us tell you that Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has completely denied Omar’s allegations. The MUO issued a statement saying that no jury was formed suddenly and all followed transparent protocols. Also, MUO has banned him from being associated with the brand and using its trademarks.
