Maharashtra Government’s Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has come as an economic support for crores of women of the state. Under this scheme, women are given financial assistance every month, so that they can easily meet their family and personal needs. But in recent times, a big problem has emerged. The e-KYC of many women could not be completed, due to which there was a danger of their installments getting stopped. The government has made it clear that the woman whose e-KYC is not completed will not be able to get the money under the scheme. Meanwhile, due to rains, natural calamities, network issues and technical problems in the state, many women could not complete e-KYC on time. Earlier its last date was fixed as 18 November 2025, but considering the problems of lakhs of women, the government has extended this date to 31 December 2025. Women have got relief from this decision, but a big question still remains. Is your name not in the list of women whose e-KYC is pending?
Why has the government made e-KYC mandatory?
The government wants that the money from the scheme should reach the right and eligible women. Many complaints were received in the last months. For example, two applications were made in the same name, wrong information was filled in the bank accounts, fake entries were found at some places. That is why it has been made necessary to confirm identity through Aadhaar. The government has clearly said that now money will not come into the account of any woman without doing e-KYC.
Is your e-KYC completed or not? find out like this
You can check in a few seconds from your mobile whether your e-KYC has been done or not. For this, first open the ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in portal. Now click on e-KYC, enter Aadhaar number and fill the captcha. After this click on Send OTP. Now the system will tell that e-KYC is already completed i.e. everything is fine, Aadhaar number is not in the eligible list i.e. your name is not in the list yet or Complete your e-KYC process is pending. The rules of the scheme clearly say that the next installment will not come for those women whose e-KYC is incomplete. The system will automatically put those beneficiaries in Pending or Inactive. Therefore, it is very important to get e-KYC done before 31st December.
