Nitish Kumar will form government today, new cabinet will be expanded in Bihar after January 14


Some ministerial posts are being left vacant after the swearing in of the new government in Bihar. It is believed that they will be expanded later. Now sources have made a big claim on that too. According to sources, the new cabinet will be expanded after Makar Sankranti on January 14 next year.

On the other hand, on November 20, 2025, Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar will take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time today at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. 19 ministers are also likely to take oath along with him.

The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda and many other top leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Chief Ministers of many NDA ruled states will also participate in this program. Shah and Nadda have reached the capital Patna to participate in the swearing-in ceremony. Nitish resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday and staked claim to form a new government before Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.

Apart from getting a place in the cabinet, NDA’s main constituents BJP and JDU are also likely to get one ministerial post for every six MLAs as part of balancing with other alliance partners.

Possibility of reaching 3 lakh people

Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) are likely to get one ministerial post each. Three ministerial posts may go to Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and the remaining will be divided between BJP and JDU.

According to sources, eight MLAs each from BJP and JDU will take oath today and one MLA each from RLM, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) can also take oath today.

A senior official said that elaborate security arrangements have been made and more than three lakh people are expected to attend the event.
