Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident that took place in a firecracker factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Expressing grief over the death of people in the accident, the Prime Minister has expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
In a message issued from an official handle of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), it was said that the Prime Minister is extremely saddened by this tragic incident. He expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The post issued by PMO said, ‘My condolences are with the families of the victims in this hour of grief. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The local administration is providing all possible assistance to the affected people.
The Prime Minister has also announced financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. An ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the family of each deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). At the same time, financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand will be provided to the people injured in the accident. The central government has assured that all possible help will be provided to the affected families and the local administration is fully engaged in relief and rescue operations. After the accident, relief work is going on in the area and the injured are being treated.

8 killed and 15 injured in the accident
A major accident occurred on Saturday when a massive fire broke out in a firecracker factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. 8 people died in this accident, while more than 15 people were injured. After the accident, there was chaos in the area and relief work was started immediately. This incident took place at the Talent Fireworks Factory in Mahmoodpura village located on Ramol-Gatrad Road in Vastra area of Ahmedabad. Suddenly a fire broke out in the factory in the afternoon due to unknown reasons. Due to presence of large quantity of firecrackers and inflammable materials in the factory, the fire took a huge form within a few minutes.
