Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov has given a statement regarding the relations between the two countries.

Russia remains India’s largest supplier

Denis Alipov said that despite all the obstacles from Western countries, Russia remains the largest supplier of oil to India. He said that Moscow is ready to continue giving good deals to Delhi in the purchase of energy resources. Western countries are continuously putting pressure on India for not buying energy and oil from Russia, whereas India has bluntly said that it will continue to buy oil keeping in mind the supply of its citizens.

What did the Russian ambassador say on the US ban?

According to the report of Russian news agency TASS, Denis Alipov said, “In the last few years, cooperation between Russia and India has increased significantly in many areas, which is partly thanks to the bypassing of Western sanctions.” America has imposed sanctions on Russia’s big oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil. The Russian Ambassador believes that this step of America may affect the oil supply. He said that Russia will remain India’s major oil supplier.

Russian ambassador’s reaction to pressure from western countries

He rejected pressure from western countries on India-Russia relations. He said, “India has strongly countered the efforts of Western countries to impose issues to weaken India-Russia relations. Praising India’s friendship, Denis Alipov said that India does not recognize the illegal and unilateral sanctions imposed bypassing the UN Security Council.
