Wing Commander Namansh Syal of the Indian Air Force was martyred in the Tejas fighter jet accident that took place on Friday (21 November) at the Dubai Air Show. His father first got information about this painful incident through YouTube. Jagan Nath Syal, a resident of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, was watching videos related to the air show, when suddenly he saw the news of Tejas crash and within a few moments his life changed completely.
According to retired school principal Jagan Nath Syal, he had spoken to his son a day earlier. Namansh had told him to watch his performance on TV or YouTube. The father says that while searching for videos at around 4 pm, he saw the information about the crash. After some time, six Air Force officers arrived at the house, which convinced them that something very serious had happened. Namansh’s family is currently in Coimbatore. His wife is training in Kolkata, while his parents were taking care of their 7-year-old granddaughter Arya for the last two weeks.
Namansh Syal’s career
Namansh Syal’s early education took place in Dalhousie, Army Public School Yol Cantt, Dharamshala and Sainik School Sujanpur Tira. After passing from NDA, he joined the Indian Air Force in 2009. Father tells that Namansh was very promising in studies and was always passionate about seeing big dreams and fulfilling them. The martyrdom of the son has forced the family to complete disintegration. Mother Veena Syal is in deep shock. Officials told the family that the process of bringing the mortal remains to India may take about two days.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu paid tribute
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, while paying tribute to Namansh, said that the martyrdom of the brave son Namansh Syal in the Tejas crash at Dubai Air Show is very sad. The nation has lost a courageous and dutiful warrior. Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that the administration is providing all possible help to the family.
