The round of allegations and counter-allegations has intensified over the statement given by Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani in a program regarding the Muslims of the country. Arshad Madani said in a program that in big cities like London or New York, Muslims can become mayors, whereas in India the same person cannot even become the Vice Chancellor of any university. BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain gave a strong reaction to this statement of Madani.

Shahnawaz Hussain said in a special conversation with news agency IANS on Sunday, “Maulana Arshad Madani’s statement is extremely irresponsible and condemnable. He has worked to defame India. In no country in the world have minorities got as many rights as they have got in India. For Indian Muslims, there is no better country than India, no better friend than Hindus and no better leader than Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be found. Our country is ‘Everyone’s We are working on the mantra of ‘Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.”

Our Muslims are mayors in many cities.

He said that our Muslims have become mayors of many cities and have held important constitutional posts. A Muslim of India can become the President, can become the Chief Justice, can become the captain of the cricket-hockey team, can become the chief of the Air Force. Indian Muslims have got the highest post of the country i.e. the post of President. Still Maulana Arshad Madani is giving such statements.

Apologize Madani

The BJP spokesperson further said that it is true that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind had played an important role in the freedom struggle, but now this organization has become a victim of nepotism like Congress. Don’t open the doors of your organization to everyone. To say that Muslims in India are being oppressed and are in great distress is completely wrong and irresponsible. Maulana Arshad Madani should apologize for this statement.
