Dharmendra, one of the biggest faces of Bollywood, left this world on November 24, leaving behind his fans and loved ones. Dharmendra was ill for a long time, he was taken to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and then he was discharged from there and sent home.
Dharmendra, who fought life like a warrior, is no longer among us. However, from his admission in the hospital till his illness and death, his fans were heartbroken many times and at times his loved ones even expressed their anger. Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital on 31 October
Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on 31 October due to difficulty in breathing. After this, on November 3, Dharmendra’s second wife, actress Hema Malini, gave a health update.
When the paparazzi asked the actress spotted at the airport about Dharmendra’s well-being, she folded her hands and said – ‘Fine.’
10 November
After this, on October 10, news came that due to Dharmendra’s condition being critical, he was shifted to ventilator. However, after the news related to the ventilator came, it was rejected by Sunny Deol’s team.
A statement was given by his team – ‘Like always, this time also such rumors are being spread, Sir’s condition is improving. He is under the supervision of doctors. There is nothing to worry about.
Indian Express also quoted sources and termed these news as fake and wrote that Dharmendra is not on ventilator.
Sunny Deol and Salman Khan reached the hospital, fans were horrified
After this, a video of November 10 surfaced when Sunny Deol reached the hospital to meet father Dharmendra with a sad face with his hands on his face. His sons Karanvir and Rajveer were also with him.
After this Salman Khan also reached Breach Candy Hospital. Everyone knows the relationship between Salman and Dharmendra, how much both of them loved and respected each other. However, during this time Salman Khan was also seen getting angry at the media. In the video, he was seen expressing anger at Paps through gestures.

On November 10 itself, Hema Malini appealed to the fans by posting a post and told that Dharmendra ji is fine. He thanked the fans and said that he requested everyone to wish for his speedy recovery.
11 November
Many disturbing news came on 11 November. From the video of Jitendra stumbling and falling to Prem Chopra being hospitalized. Dharmendra was already in the hospital. In such a situation, rumors also started flying. Fake news started spreading from media to social media that Dharmendra has passed away. The family members got angry at these news.

Esha Deol had issued a statement on her Insta handle. He had written, “The media is spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering, we request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for your prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery.”
After fake news of Dharmendra’s death, Hema Malini’s anger erupted on social media. Posting on X, he wrote, ‘What is happening is unforgivable! 12 November
12th November was the day when the family and members of the family heaved a sigh of relief. On this day, Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital. Dharmendra was taken home from the hospital in an ambulance at 7.30 am on the same day. The entire social media was filled with fans’ concern and happiness about Dharmendra.
The family issued an official statement saying, ‘Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home.’ Also requested to stay away from any speculation.
Why did Deol family take Dharmendra home?
Doctor Pratit Samdani said- ‘Clearly, for some reason both the brothers and their mother Prakash wanted Dharmendra to come back to where he belonged. And stay where he has spent most of his life. I stand with the Deols in this difficult time. I pray to God that Dharam ji’s health gets better soon.
Amitabh Bachchan expressed displeasure over false news, Salman became emotional
Amitabh Bachchan made a cryptic post and wrote, ‘No Ethics’. After this cryptic post of his, fans started speculating that this post was made on the false news of Dharmendra’s demise.
A video of a press conference in Qatar went viral on social media. In the video, Salman Khan was seen talking about actor Dharmendra. After this, good news of Dharmendra’s recovery also came on 20th November. But then came 24th November when Dharmendra left this world forever.
Which diseases was Dharmendra struggling with?
Dharmendra was initially taken to the hospital for a general checkup where he was kept admitted for about 12 days. He was having trouble breathing. 89 year old Dharmendra’s lungs and heart were no longer as strong as before.
Due to slight fatigue and lack of oxygen, there was problem of shortness of breath. Dharmendra started having this problem again and again. His diseases were age related. Dharmendra’s last rites have been performed at the Pawan Hans cremation ground in Vile Parle. Elder son Sunny Deol has lit the funeral pyre. Dharmendra always remained with his family in the last 24 days of his life. His family was seen walking with him like a shadow.
