Due to the demise of veteran actor Dharmendra, the film industry and his fans along with his entire family are in mourning. Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar paid tribute to the veteran actor through emotional messages on social media. Now, Alia Bhatt has expressed grief over the demise of Dharmendra. The actress, who worked with the veteran actor in Karan Johar’s 2023 release ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, remembered him as a legend who used to dominate every frame.
Alia Bhatt became emotional remembering Dharmendra
Paying tribute to veteran actor Dharmendra, Alia Bhatt has posted a picture of an emotional scene from her film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ on her Instagram stories. In the picture, Alia and Dharmendra are seen sharing an emotional moment on screen which became one of the most memorable scenes of the film.
With this photo, Alia remembered the late actor and wrote, “A legend who lit up every frame… and every heart. You will be missed, Dharam ji.”
Dharmendra breathed his last at the age of 89
The ‘Sholay’ actor fell ill earlier this month and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for a checkup. Two days later, he was discharged and continued his treatment at home, however, despite reports of his condition improving, news of his death came on Monday, November 24. The actor died at the age of 89.
Dharmendra’s funeral
The last rites of the veteran actor were performed at the Pawan Hans cremation ground in Vile Parle. His wife Hema Malini, sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, and daughters Esha, Ahana, Vijeta and Ajeeta were seen emotional during his funeral. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Govinda, the entire Bollywood gathered to pay their last respects to the late actor.
