Arjun Rampal’s acting career
Arjun started his acting career with the 2001 film ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’, in which he worked with Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani and Keerthi Reddy. When he met designer Rohit Bal at a party, he advised the actor to do modeling and also gave him a chance. Rampal’s first film may have been a flop, but in 2002 he got a different place in his career with his film ‘Aankhen’ which was a superhit. In his 24-year career, Rampal has worked in more than 40 films. However, there came a time when he was given 14 consecutive flop films.
Had faced financial struggle
Arjun had once told that there came a period in his life when he had to face difficulties even in paying the rent. During that time, his landlord proved to be a boon for him. He told how he lived in seven bungalows in Andheri and every month, his landlord Sardarji used to come on the first day, but when he came to know that Rampal did not have money to pay the rent, he said, ‘No problem, you can pay me the money easily.’
Received National Award for ‘Rock On’
Arjun Rampal had to struggle for a long time to get success in the film industry, until he got Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Don’. After getting ‘Don’ in 2006, Arjun Rampal’s fortunes started changing. In this, her opposite was Shahrukh Khan and this film was a hit and then the very next year she got the role of a villain in ‘Om Shanti Om’ along with Shahrukh, which was also a hit. However, the turning point in Arjun Rampal’s career came in the year 2008, when he got ‘Rock On’. He had a supporting role in this and for this he won the National Award.
