How much money will Rohit Sharma get?
The salary paid to the player appointed as brand ambassador for the T20 World Cup is usually not made public. Its amount is decided on the basis of the player’s brand value or his market rate for endorsing a company. Usually, figures related to salary or money are part of a confidential contract between the ICC and the player.
Talking about Rohit Sharma, according to media reports, he charges Rs 3.5-7 crore for an endorsement deal. This does not mean that he will be given the same amount to become the brand ambassador of the T20 World Cup. Taking these figures as the basis, they can be given a fixed number of salaries.
If we remember, for the 2024 T20 World Cup, veteran cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi and Chris Gayle were made brand ambassadors. The fourth brand ambassador of the World Cup was Usain Bolt. ICC did not share information about how much money all of them received or did not receive.
