However, ‘Dhurandhar’ is embroiled in controversies before its release. In fact, the parents of Ashok Chakra awardee martyr Major Mohit Sharma have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding an immediate ban on the release of the film.

Why demanded a ban on ‘Dhurandhar’ release?
The petition filed by the parents of martyr Major Mohit Sharma has claimed that this film seems to be inspired by their son’s life and the film producers have not taken any permission from them for this. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Indian Army and the director and producer of the film have been made parties in the petition.

What did the director say?
Let us tell you that Major Mohit’s brother Madhur Sharma tagged director Aditya Dhar on social media and asked whether this film is based on an undercover spy. To this Aditya Dhar had replied, “Namaste Sir – Our film Dhurandhar Bahadur is not based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma AC(P) SM. This is an official clarification.” He had further said, “I assure you that if we make a biopic on Mohit sir in the future, we will do it after full consultation with his family, and thus honor his sacrifice for the nation and the legacy he left for all of us.”

When is ‘Dhurandhar’ releasing?
Let us tell you that ‘Dhurandhar’ is being released in theaters on 5th December. At present, there is tremendous excitement among the fans regarding the film. It remains to be seen how it performs at the box office.
