According to market experts, Japan’s pet-care market is now growing very fast. In the year 2020, its size was about 689.6 billion yen, which will increase to about 880 billion yen by the year 2025. This means that in just five years this industry has registered an increase of about 200 billion yen. Now companies are mostly making products like pet diapers, organic food, smart toys, medical care. Because most of the people are raising dogs and cats like children and are spending a lot of money on their care.

Why did baby product companies change business?
In Japan, all the companies which used to manufacture children’s products are now entering the pet products market. A baby carrier manufacturing company named Lucky Industries has started making hip carriers for dogs.
When the company saw that people were facing a lot of difficulty in carrying elderly or small dogs, they developed a pet carrier for this. The company says that at present the use of children’s goods is decreasing in the market, while the use of pet goods is growing very fast.
Why are pets increasing in Japan?
