The Indian cricket team is ready to hoist the flag in the Under-19 Asia Cup. BCCI on Saturday announced the 15-member Indian squad for the Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup. This tournament will be played in Dubai from December 12-21, in which five teams including India and Pakistan are participating. Ayush Mhatre, who plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL, has been made the captain of the team. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also included in this team, who is currently coming off a stormy century in the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament.
Ayush Mhatre will be the captain of the Indian Under-19 team for the Asia Cup, on the other hand, Vihaan Malhotra has been appointed as the vice-captain. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He scored a century in 32 balls against UAE in the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament. However, India could not reach the final in that tournament.
India has been placed in Group A in the Under-19 Asia Cup tournament, but its complete schedule has not been revealed yet. India vs Pakistan match will be played on 14 December. Now 2 qualifier teams will be added to Group A along with India and Pakistan. A qualifier team will also be included in Group B along with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
