Ayush Mhatre Hits Second Century In SMAT 2025: Mumbai’s young opening batsman and captain of India’s Under-19 team Ayush Mhatre has done wonders in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. Continuing his excellent form, Ayush played an important role in giving Mumbai a spectacular victory by nine wickets by scoring his second consecutive century against Andhra Pradesh in the Group A match on Sunday, November 30, 2025. For the second wicket, Ayush made a brilliant century partnership with Team India’s T20 International captain Suryakumar Yadav for the second wicket.
Ayush scored second consecutive century
Chennai Super Kings player Ayush Mhatre played a century of unbeaten 104 runs in 59 balls against Andhra Pradesh in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. Which included 9 sixes and 5 fours. Mhatre has scored two consecutive centuries in three matches of this tournament and has hit 19 sixes so far in three matches in this Mushtaq Trophy season. Ayush had performed brilliantly for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. Because of which 18 year old Mhatre has been retained by Chennai Super Kings for the IPL 2026 season.
Mumbai defeated Andhra by nine wickets
In this match, Mumbai won the toss and invited Andhra Pradesh to bat first. Andhra Pradesh scored 159 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs with the help of captain Ricky Bhui’s inning of 48 runs. Mumbai got a target of 160 runs to win, chasing which Mhatre and Suryakumar made a partnership of 105 runs in 9.4 overs. Thanks to this partnership, Mumbai was successful in defeating Andhra Pradesh by nine wickets.
Ayush scored his first century against Vidarbha
In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, Mumbai’s young opener Ayush Mhatre scored his first century against Vidarbha. Ayush had played an excellent century of 110 runs in 53 balls at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In which he hit 8 sixes and 8 fours. In this match, Vidarbha gave a target of 193 runs, which Mumbai chased by scoring 194 runs in 17.5 overs at the loss of three wickets.
