ECR filing will not be possible
Those employers who did not get the linking done after the deadline for Aadhaar and UAN linking. They will now be able to file ECR from November 2025. Let us tell you that ECR is a digital document. In which every month the complete details of employees’ contributions and payments are sent to EPFO. If Aadhaar and UAN are not linked, this file will not be submitted.

This means the entire PF system of the employer may come to a standstill. EPFO gave instructions many times. So the time limit was also extended. But now he has said that enough chances have been given. There is no hope of relief after the deadline is over. Hence those whose linking is pending. He may get into trouble.
Which sectors will be most affected?
This decision is applicable for the entire country. But the impact will be more visible in certain areas and sectors. Employers operating in north-eastern states such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura need to be especially careful. Apart from these, beedi manufacturing, building and construction material, and plantation industries like tea, coffee, black pepper, cardamom, jute, rubber also come under the direct scope.

How to do Aadhar UAN linking?
Now the last and most important thing. If for some reason your Aadhaar is not yet linked to UAN. So it can be done online immediately. Login to EPFO Unified Portal. Then go to Manage and select KYC, select Aadhaar, enter the number and save.
How to check linking status
To know the status of your linking, login to Member Sewa Portal and open the KYC section. If Aadhaar is visible in the verified documents, then everything is fine. If it is not visible then do not delay, otherwise many works related to PF may get stopped.
