Royal Enfield Bullet 650 vs BSA Goldstar 650: Who is more powerful in terms of power? know the difference

The 650 cc segment is growing rapidly in the Indian motorcycle market and a new name Royal Enfield Bullet 650 has been added to this segment. Actually, this bike was first showcased at EICMA 2025 and then showcased at Motoverse 2025. However, a stronger bike like BSA Goldstar 650 is already present in the market to compete with it, due to which the competition has become quite interesting. Let’s look at the features of both the bikes.

What is the difference between the engines of both the bikes?

  • Royal Enfield Bullet 650 has a 648 cc air-cooled parallel-twin engine, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine generates power of 46 bhp at 7,250 rpm and torque of 52 Nm at 5,650 rpm. This engine is known for its smoothness and stable performance, due to which long distance riding becomes comfortable.
  • On the other hand, BSA Goldstar 650 has a 652 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine comes with a five-speed gearbox and produces 45 bhp power at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm. The power of Goldstar is slightly less than Bullet, but its torque is more, due to which the bike accelerates quickly in the beginning and makes the low-end performance strong.

Who is more powerful?

  • If we talk about power only, Bullet 650 gives one BHP more power and hence it takes a slight lead in terms of power. Whereas Goldstar 650 gives three Nm more torque, due to which it gives better traction at low speed. Overall, the performance of both the bikes is designed for different riding styles. For example, Bullet 650 is smooth and stable for long rides, while Goldstar 650 has better feel for quick start and strong torque.

How much price difference can there be?

  • The price of Royal Enfield Bullet 650 has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be around Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). BSA Goldstar 650 is already available in the market and its price starts from Rs 3.09 lakh to Rs 3.26 lakh. Price wise, Goldstar is a bit cheaper, whereas Bullet 650 may be a bit expensive due to its brand value and twin-cylinder engine.
