Jan Suraj national spokesperson Kumar Saurabh said, “This is a very good news for Jan Suraj. We had said that Bihar politics will take a new direction with Prashant Kishore ji contesting the elections. Today its result is in front. BJP’s NDA supported candidate announced the withdrawal of his nomination. This is a special gratitude to the people of Bankipur.”

- Last date for filing nomination is 13th July
- Voting for by-election will be held on July 30
