According to media reports, Palash’s chat with a girl named Mary D’Costa went viral, in which he was seen sending flirty texts to D’Costa despite being with Smriti. From here, speculations of rift between the two started.
After Palash’s personal chat came to light, Smriti Mandhana issued an official statement on her Insta story. He confirmed the news of his marriage breaking up. Along with this, he asked people to respect their privacy.
After this he unfollowed Palash on his Instagram. Along with this, he has removed some pictures and wedding content with Palash. Palash unfollowed Smriti on his Instagram whereas he has not removed any picture or post yet.
Palash Muchhal reacted to the allegations of cheating
Palash gave clarification on the controversies of cheating Smriti Mandhana and breaking of marriage. Palash wrote – ‘I have decided to move ahead in my life and stay away from my personal relationships. It has been very difficult for me to see people react so easily to baseless rumors about the most sacred thing to me. This is the most difficult period of my life and I will deal with it by sticking to my beliefs.
Hopefully, as a society, we learn to pause before forming an opinion about someone based on unconfirmed rumors whose sources are never identified. Our words can leave us with wounds we will never understand.
In the post, Palash threatened to take legal action against those who have shared wrong information about him. He wrote in his post – ‘Strict legal action will be taken against those spreading derogatory content. Thanks to all the people who stood with me in this difficult time.
The wedding was to take place on 23rd November
Palash and Smriti’s marriage was to take place on 23 November. Pre-wedding functions had also started in both their homes. Haldi and mehendi rituals had been performed. But suddenly there was news of Smriti’s father’s ill health. In this way this marriage was postponed. Soon news started coming that Palash was cheating on Smriti. Therefore Smriti decided to break the marriage at main time.
