A severe traffic jam was once again seen in the country’s national capital Delhi over the weekend. People are facing problems especially in the tourist areas of Delhi due to the huge problem of traffic jam. Delhi Traffic Police has closed Lodhi Road, due to which the road leading from Lodhi Road flyover towards Humayun Road has been closed.
Due to the problem of traffic jam at many places in Delhi, the speed of vehicles remained very slow. Vehicles were seen moving at many places. Car riders, bike riders and people riding auto rickshaws are facing a lot of problems.

Severe traffic jam in Delhi
On Sunday, there was heavy traffic jam on Oberoi flyover, Lodhi Road and the main routes around it. Long queues of vehicles were visible at many places, due to which it took a lot of time for people to cover a distance of just a few metres. Traffic police personnel are deployed at various places but the problem of traffic jams persists.
Traffic advisory for 8 to 13 December
At the same time, in view of the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Cultural Heritage at the Red Fort in Delhi from 8 to 13 December 2025, special traffic arrangements will be in force from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Restricted and possible diversion roads
Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg (diversion as per need from Chhatta Rail Chowk, T-Point Subhash Marg, Shanti Van Chowk, GPO Chowk, Delhi Gate and Hanuman Mandir Crossing)
Use these parking areas
The traffic police has advised to use only designated parking areas. This includes Parade Ground, ASI Parking (Red Fort), Dangal Ground, Omaxe Mall, Church Mission Road Parking. At the same time, parking of vehicles on the roadside is prohibited.
At the same time, it has been said that pedestrians should use footpaths and designated crossings. Also, it has been advised to follow the instructions of the ground staff. Ring Road, Rajghat-ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Netaji Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, SPM Marg are expected to be affected.
