The marriage of musician Palash Muchhal and Indian women’s cricket team’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana was to take place on 24 November 2025. Complete preparations had been made in both the families, but just a few hours before the wedding the wedding suddenly had to be stopped. The reason for this was said to be the deteriorating health of Smriti’s father.
After this, the very next day news came that Palash Muchhal also had to be admitted to the hospital due to chest pain and difficulty in breathing. During this time, many rumors started spreading on social media regarding their marriage.
Now finally on Sunday both of them issued separate official statements making it completely clear that their marriage has been cancelled. Not only this, both of them also removed the wedding photo and proposal video from social media.
Big step on social media
Immediately after announcing the end of the marriage, Smriti Mandhana had deleted all the pre-wedding photos, videos, proposal clips and other posts from her account. After some time, Palash Muchhal also removed many posts related to Smriti from his profile, which included the proposal video and the celebration clip after winning the World Cup. However, some old posts of Palash are still present, on which users are continuously commenting.
Palash’s statement
Palash issued a statement in his Instagram story. In which he wrote, “I have decided to move forward in my life. The way people are reacting without knowing the truth, it hurts a lot. This is the most difficult time of my life, but I will cross it with dignity. Hopefully this society will think twice before passing judgment on anyone without knowing the facts.”
Smriti Mandhana also issued a statement
Smriti Mandhana also clarified on her Instagram story that amidst the discussions going on for the last few weeks, it is necessary that she herself comes forward and says, “The marriage has been cancelled.” He appealed to respect the privacy of both the families.
