A major accident has taken place in Barabanki on Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. A Brezza car coming at a high speed hit an already parked WagonR car near Deeh village in Haidergarh Kotwali area of the district. The collision was so severe that the two cars caught fire as they collided with each other. In this horrific road accident, five people were burnt alive.
Regarding the accident, it was told that the doors of the WagonR car could not be opened due to them being locked, the people burning in the car were pleading for help, but due to the huge fire, no one could come forward for help. It was told that the family of the deceased was the family of a constable posted in Azamgarh, which included a wife, 3 daughters and a son. Everyone was burnt alive to death.
DM confirmed the death of 5 people in the accident
Additional Chief Medical Officer of Barabanki district, Luv Gupta said that 5 people who were already dead were brought to CHC Haidergarh, while 5 people were injured. The injured family was a resident of Delhi, which is said to be a family, out of which five people are seriously injured. Giving information about the incident, District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi has also confirmed the death of 5 people.
Constable’s wife and children died in the accident
Superintendent of Police Vijayvargiya said that Javed Ashraf, a resident of Varanasi, is currently posted as a constable in UP Police in Azamgarh district. On Wednesday, his 49-year-old wife Gulista Parveen alias Chandni, his three daughters, 22-year-old Samreen, 10-year-old Ilma, 8-year-old Isma, and 10-year-old son Gian, were traveling from Azamgarh to Lucknow in a WagonR car. The vehicle was being driven by Javed’s brother-in-law, Jishan, 30, resident of Khanpur Ghosi of Mau district.
He said that WagonR stopped at kilometer number 55.600 on Purvanchal Expressway. People inside were drinking water etc., during this time another speeding car coming from Azamgarh rammed directly into Wagonar. When the attention of the local people was diverted by the loud noise, they saw that the car was being rolled up.
People nearby ran to the spot and UPID and police also reached there. Two people were rescued from the WagonR car which met with an accident on the expressway and brought to the road, while three were trapped inside. The constable’s wife and all four children, except the driver Gian, died.

He also told that the passengers in the second car, Dipanshu Mishra (24), resident of Dakshinpuri, Delhi, his sister Deepti Mishra (16), family member Trupti Mishra (17), Pragati Mishra (23) have been referred to KGMU Lucknow. Traffic on the expressway remained closed for some time and the fire was brought under control with the help of the fire brigade. Post mortem of dead bodies is being conducted.
