The fire of war between Thailand and Cambodia has now reached the threshold of the disputed Hindu temple Priya-Vihar. Thailand destroyed Cambodian army’s cameras and signal jamming equipment installed on a crane near the temple. Meanwhile, Thailand’s army is ready to change the border and has started marching into the residential areas bordering Cambodia.

A video of the battlefield of Thailand and Cambodia in South-East Asia has surfaced. This video is of the forest near Priya-Vihar temple, in which a crane can be seen falling. It is being told that Cambodia had installed a CCTV camera for surveillance on the border of Thailand. There was also an electronic warfare device, so that the drones coming from Thailand could be jammed and shot down. When the crane fell, the sound of Thai soldiers laughing loudly was heard in the background.

March begins in disputed areas

According to the information, the Thai Army has started marching across the border into the disputed areas of Cambodia. The Thai army is moving forward along the barbed wire to capture areas of Cambodia and barricade them. The Thai Army has threatened that it will not shy away from a deep-strike in Cambodia if the Cambodian army launches a major attack.

Seeing the Thai army advancing, Cambodia has deployed armed soldiers to the disputed Preah (Priha)-Vihar temple. Actually, Thailand has always considered this temple within its borders, while Cambodia has its possession. In such a situation, Cambodia fears that the Thai Army may move towards the temple.

Temple included in UNESCO heritage list

This temple of Lord Shiva in the UNESCO heritage list was built by the kings of the Khmer Empire of Cambodia between 9-12 century. Due to the presence of a disputed temple on the border, soldiers of Thailand and Cambodia clash here while patrolling, due to which military confrontation occurs from time to time. There has been a dispute between the two countries regarding this temple for the last 100 years.

Air attack on casino by F-16 fighter plane

On Monday (8 December 2025), Thailand carried out an air strike with an F-16 fighter plane on an abandoned casino in Cambodia. Cambodian soldiers were using this casino as their hideout. Cambodia is expected to suffer major losses in this attack, including female soldiers. However, Cambodia has not yet issued any official statement regarding the damage caused by this attack. In retaliation, Cambodia attacked Thai Army positions with rocket launchers.

Migration of people from border areas

Due to the ongoing conflict since last one week, lakhs of people are migrating from the border areas of both the countries. Tension has been going on between Thailand and Cambodia since the month of July. During that time too, both the countries had carried out air strikes on each other, in which about 50 people lost their lives and lakhs of people had to evacuate the border area.
