Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia on Sunday (December 14, 2025). PM Modi expressed solidarity with the citizens of Australia by expressing condolences to the families of the victims of the attack.
PM Modi shared a post regarding this terrorist attack on X. He wrote, ‘I strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack that took place today on Bondi Beach, Australia. In this attack, people celebrating the first day of the Jewish festival Hanukkah were made the target of a terrorist conspiracy.
Expressing India’s condolences on the terrorist attack, he said, ‘On behalf of the people of India, I express my deepest condolences to all the victims’ families who have lost their close ones forever in this terrible terrorist attack.’

Australia called the incident a terrorist attack
According to CNN report, Australian officials have termed the mass shooting incident at Sydney’s Bondi Beach as a terrorist attack. 10 people died and 11 were injured in this terrorist attack. It is noteworthy that more than 1,000 people had gathered at Bondi Beach to celebrate the Jewish festival Hanukkah.
