Lucknow News: The government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken another big decision in the interest of farmers amid wheat procurement campaign of the Rabi season. Now if the farmers also sell more than 100 quintals of wheat, then they will not have to go through the imperative of verification. The government has abolished the obligation of verification, which has resolved the problems in selling wheat. This decision is being considered a sensitive initiative to provide farmers on time and simplify the purchase process.

According to the Food and Logistics Department, now farmers will be able to sell wheat up to three times their estimated production without any additional verification. Due to this, the problem in selling wheat due to errors or records of records in the forgotten documents, it will not happen now. The government has taken this step to maintain the trust of farmers in the mandis.

Significantly, the wheat procurement scheme started from March 1 is being operated in a smooth and transparent manner across the state. So far, more than 2.05 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased from more than 38,000 farmers. A total of 377678 farmers have registered so far this year. Purchase is going on through 5790 purchasing centers across the state.

Farmers strengthened trust in mandis and government procurement system

Due to the effective policies of the Yogi government, the trust of farmers on the mandis and government procurement system has again strengthened. Earlier, farmers had to get production verification done to sell more than 100 quintals, due to which they had to visit the offices again and again. This process used to take time and many times the purchase used to stop. Now with the removal of this compulsion, farmers will get timely payment and their produce can also be purchased in time.

Farmers satisfied with the policies of the government

The state government claims that this year the figures of wheat procurement are better than the years and it is clear that the farmers are satisfied with the policies of the government. In the coming days, the government is also working on a plan to provide technology based arrangements and strengthening to provide facilities to the farmers to their doorstep. This step is another example of the Yogi government’s farmer -centric thinking and working style, which suggests that the government understands the problems of farmers seriously and is constantly trying to overcome them.
