After IPL 2026 mini auction, the squads of all 10 teams have been ready. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed all the teams that IPL 2026 will start on March 26 and the final will be played on May 31 (IPL 2026 Start and End Date). There is a stir in Pakistan due to the arrival of the date of IPL 2026 schedule, because the Pakistan Cricket Board may have to suffer loss due to this.

The truth is that the 11th edition of Pakistan Super League, i.e. PSL 11, is also going to start on March 26 and its final will be played on May 3. This clearly means that the entire PSL tournament will be played when the excitement of IPL is at its peak in India.

Usually PSL is played in February-March, but in 2025 the Champions Trophy was held at that time. For this reason PSL 2025 was organized in mid-March. A similar situation has arisen this time also. Actually, the 2026 T20 World Cup will be played from 7 February-8 March.

Since the T20 World Cup will be played in the month of February-March, this time also the PSL has been postponed. The result of organizing IPL and PSL at the same time is that there is a decline in the viewership of PSL. Along with this, many international cricketers will not be able to play in Pakistan Super League due to IPL agreement.

The IPL 2026 auction has been completed, in which a total of Rs 215.45 crore was spent on 77 players. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was the most expensive player of this auction, who was bought by KKR with a bid of Rs 25.2 crore. Apart from them, teams also spent a lot of money on Mathisha Pathirana and Liam Livingstone.
