According to the report of Mid Day, Akshay Khanna, Sunil Shetty and Sudesh Berry can be seen in new characters in the film. There are reports that the film is set on the backdrop of 1971 India Pakistan War. He wrote, ‘Anurag and producer Nidhi Dutta felt that bringing the heroes of the first film in this film would be a memorable experience. That is why their segments have been added to the films. Characters from the old and new films will meet each other. This is a great idea because father-son duo Sunil and Ahaan will come together on screen.
He further wrote, ‘In November, portions of Akshay and Sudesh’s film were shot in Mumbai. Sunil is working on another project, in which he has a particular look, so his part was shot on green screen and special effects were added. The age of all three actors has been reduced for the Border avatar.
Talking about the film Border 2, it will be released on 23 January 2026. The teaser of the film has been released. Sunny Deol has tremendous dialogues in the teaser. The roles of Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty also looked tremendous. In the film, Varun plays the role of Paramvir Chakra awardee Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. Diljit Dosanjh will play the role of Nirmal Jeet Singh. Whereas Ahan Shetty will play the role of an Indian Navy officer.
