Bank Holidays December 2025: If you have any important work related to the bank in the coming days, then doing a little preparation before planning to go to the bank will prove beneficial for you. Actually, there are going to be many bank holidays this week. Due to Christmas and other reasons, banks will remain closed for four days in different cities. However, during this period customers can avail the online facilities of the bank.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the list of bank holidays every year in advance. In which it is told that on which date and in which cities the banks will remain closed. In such a situation, before going to the bank, you must check the bank holiday list of your city. So that you do not have to face any kind of problem.
Bank holiday of 24th December
Bank holidays have been announced in Meghalaya and Mizoram on Wednesday, 24 December. Banks here are going to remain closed due to Christmas Eve. If you live in both these places, you should avoid going to the bank branch. Banks will remain open in all cities of the country except Meghalaya and Mizoram.
25th December Bank Holiday
Christmas festival will be celebrated across the country on Thursday, 25th December. Due to Christmas, holiday has been declared in banks of all the cities of the country. You should avoid going to the bank on this day.
Bank holiday of 26th and 27th December
Banks will remain closed in the state of Haryana on Friday, 26th December, on account of Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti. At the same time, closure of banks has been announced in Meghalaya, Mizoram and Telangana on account of Christmas. The next day i.e. 27th December is the fourth Saturday of the month. Due to this, banks are going to remain closed across the country. There is a bank holiday on the second and fourth Saturday of the month across the country.
