China has achieved a great achievement by discovering Asia’s largest marine gold reserve. After this discovery in Yantai area of Shandong province, Laizhou’s total gold reserve has increased to more than 3,900 tons, which is about 26 percent of China’s total reserve. Its estimated value is said to be around ₹52.65 lakh crore. Earlier, a large gold reserve of 1,444.49 tonnes was also found in Liaoning province.
China is already the world’s largest gold ore producer, with production last year at 377 tonnes. AI, ground-penetrating radar and satellite technology have been used in these searches. This will affect both China’s economy and the global gold market.
