The growth of prostate cancer mainly depends on the male hormone testosterone. Hormone therapy (ADT) reduces testosterone levels in the body. This slows down the growth of the tumor, but due to the therapy, patients suffer from problems like hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue and mood swings. All these symptoms interfere with sleep.

Prostate cancer patients often face sleep problems. Such as difficulty in sleeping (insomnia), frequent awakenings, poor quality of sleep, reduced total sleep time, increased dreams or nightmares after stopping sleeping pills, burning sensation during urination and other discomforts.
