Last month, India won the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs. To celebrate this World Cup victory, the players of the Indian team are going to come on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show very soon. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Pratika Rawal and many other players are going to come on the show. But Smriti Mandhana probably will not be a part of this episode.
Recently, a promo video of the episode of The Kapil Sharma Show in which the players of the Indian team will appear was released. Actually, Smriti Mandhana was not seen anywhere in this video. Smriti was the highest run-scorer for India in the Women’s World Cup, but recently she was in the news due to the news of her marriage breaking up.
Kapil Sharma also asked Harmanpreet Kaur a question on his show regarding the time when she danced Bhangra before lifting the trophy. On this, Jemimah Rodrigues said, “Harry didi does not listen to us. But Smriti had said that if I do not do Bhangra, I will not talk for the rest of my life.”
This episode of Indian Cricketers will be released on Netflix on 27th December at 8 pm. In this episode, Sunil Grover and Krishna Abhishek will be seen in the role of Karan-Arjun while Kiku Sharda will be seen in the role of mother. On the other hand, due to Smriti Mandhana not being seen in the promo video, discussion has started on social media.
In the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, Smriti Mandhana scored 434 runs in 9 innings at a good average of 54.25. Recently she has completed 4000 runs in Women’s International T20 cricket history, she is the first Indian woman cricketer to do so.
