The exam was to be held in March 2026
This examination of DSSSB was earlier to be held on different dates in March 2026. Many candidates were fully engaged in its preparation. But in view of the continuous questions being raised regarding the age limit and the opposition of the candidates, the government decided to put a temporary ban on the examination.
Why is the demand for age limit increasing?
Candidates say that there was a lot of delay in the last few recruitments, due to which many candidates crossed the prescribed age limit. In such a situation, he was deprived of appearing in the examination. For this reason, there was a continuous demand on social media and other forums to increase the age limit for TGT and PGT posts.
What could be the next decision?

However, the government has made it clear that a final decision on this has not been taken yet. Reports have been called from the Education Department and DSSSB, after which further action will be taken.
DSSSB has also clarified that until the age limit issue is completely resolved, new exam dates will not be released. Candidates are advised to rely only on official information and continue their preparation.
