PM Kisan Yojana Rules: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is considered a big relief for small and marginal farmers of the country. Under this scheme, which was started in the year 2019, eligible farmers get financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year. Which is transferred directly to the bank account in three installments of Rs 2,000 each.
But as the scope of this scheme has increased. By the way, questions have also increased in the minds of farmers. The most common question is whether all the members of the same family can take advantage of this scheme. Especially in those families where more than one person is involved in farming. The government has made clear rules regarding this. Which is very important to understand.
What do the rules related to family say?
According to the rules of PM Kisan Yojana, only one member from a family can avail the benefit of this scheme. If the family has cultivable land. So on the basis of that land only one beneficiary will get 6 thousand rupees annually. Only one person can apply. In whose name the agricultural land is registered in the government records.
Husband, wife or other family members work together in farming. Still, not everyone will get different benefits. The government’s focus is on land and family unit. Not on how many people are involved in farming. For this reason many applications from the same family get rejected.
When can more than one person get benefit?
If two members of the family live separately and have different lands in their names. So in some cases both can get the benefit of the scheme. But for this it is necessary that they are registered as a separate family in the government records. Merely having a different bank account or having a different name is not enough. Through land records, family identification and local verification, it is decided whether the benefit is going to the right person or not.
For application, farmers can apply online at pmkisan.gov.in or can take help of the nearest CSC centre. It is important to have correct Aadhaar, bank account and land documents. In case of giving wrong information, the installment can be stopped. Therefore, always apply as per the rules.
