Watch: India successfully tests Pinaka Guided Rocket, target will not reach till 120KM, Munir loses sleep!

An important achievement has been registered in the direction of further strengthening the defense capability of the country. The first flight test of India’s Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR) was successfully conducted on Monday. This test has been done in the Integrated Test Range located in Chandipur, Odisha.

This updated version rocket system developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has been designed for accurate firepower and long range effective strike. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO regarding this.

What information did the Defense Ministry give?

According to the Defense Ministry, the rocket successfully passed all the technical parameters during the test. It also proved its accuracy till the designated target areas. The Pinaka LRGR 120 rocket is an upgraded version of the conventional Pinaka Multi-Barrel Rocket System (MBRS).

It includes state-of-the-art guidance systems, improved range, improved navigation and greater accuracy. This rocket is capable of giving impressive performance even in difficult combat conditions and can bring a big change in the artillery capability of the Indian Army.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO and all concerned partner organizations on the success of the test. He said that this achievement takes India’s indigenous defense technology to new heights and makes the nation’s strategic power more credible.

The Defense Minister described this test as an important step towards ‘self-reliant India’. He termed it an important milestone in increasing the firepower of the armed forces. Successful development of long range guided rocket will prove to be a game changer for the Indian defense system.

What did the defense experts tell?

According to defense experts, this successful test will give the Indian Army precise long-range attack power. This is in line with the needs of border security and battlefield. Fully development of the system will pave the way for inclusion in the army.

All advanced tracking equipment deployed at the range monitored the trajectory of the rocket throughout its flight. This rocket has been developed by the Armament Research and Development Establishment, with the support of High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, Defense Research and Development Laboratory and Research Center Building.

The testing was coordinated by ITR and Proof and Experimental Establishment. Notably, the test fired the LRGR from the Army’s standard Pinaka launcher, proving that it was possible to launch Pinaka rockets with different ranges from a single launcher.

Dr. Sameer V. Kamat, Secretary, Department of Defense Research and Development and Chairman, DRDO, congratulated all the scientists and technical teams on the success of the mission and described it as a major achievement of Indian indigenous defense technology.

It is noteworthy that the successful testing of Pinaka LRGR 120 will provide new strength to the artillery capability of the Indian Army. Precise strike capability can play a decisive role in future war scenarios, ensuring strategic advantage in border areas.
