There is great news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission i.e. UPSSSC had issued recruitment notification for 7,994 posts of Lekhpal. The online application process for this recruitment has started from 29 December 2025. Candidates who fulfill the required qualifications for the post of Accountant can apply by visiting the official website of the Commission, upsssc.gov.in. The last date to apply has been fixed as 28 January 2026.
UPSSSC had released the official notification of this recruitment on 16 December 2025. After this the Commission announced the date of application. The application process has started from today. Candidates can submit applications and fees till 28 January 2026. If any candidate makes a mistake in filling the form, he will get a chance to make corrections in the application till 4 February 2026.
Who can apply?
To apply for the post of Lekhpal, the candidate must have a valid scorecard of Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET). Apart from this, the candidate must have passed Intermediate (12th) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board or institute.
Talking about age limit, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum age should be 40 years. Candidates coming from reserved category will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
How much fees will have to be paid?
To apply for Lekhpal recruitment, candidates will have to pay only Rs 25. This fee can be deposited through online medium. The application process will be considered complete only after depositing the fees. For more details, candidates can take help of the official website.
How to apply?
The application process for Lekhpal recruitment has been kept completely online. The candidate will have to go to the UPSSSC website and log in to the Applicant’s Dashboard. UP PET 2025 registration number will be required to log in. After logging in, enter candidate details. Then an OTP will come on the candidate’s registered mobile number or email. As soon as the OTP is entered, the filled application form will appear on the screen. Candidates can check the form carefully and if they wish, they can also take a print out of it.
