People enthusiastically participated in the New Year celebrations in Noida and Greater Noida city. From societies to malls, special preparations were made on New Year’s Eve. Cultural programs were organized in sectors and societies of Noida and Greater Noida on Wednesday. Disco nights were organized in pubs and bars till late night. In which people were seen completely drenched in the colors of the New Year. People said goodbye to 2025 and welcomed 2026.
Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) has already been implemented by the police till January 1. On New Year, police alert was seen everywhere including roads, malls, hotels etc. Here, security checks were seen in crowded public places, malls, hotels, bars, restaurants etc. Also, the police checked crowded places like hotels, restaurants, banquet halls etc. and kept an eye on the suspects. From noon itself, people started reaching malls, hotels and other places to celebrate.
Malls specially decorated
Malls were also decorated before the New Year. People enjoyed the live singing program at Spectrum Metro Mall located in Sector-75. He was also seen taking selfies with his family. Apart from this, children were taken care of in ‘Festopia 2026’ at Gaur City Mall, Greno West. On this occasion, book fair, activities for children, live music, performance and New Year sale were organised.
820 took a temporary license
To celebrate the New Year, programs were organized for liquor lovers at various places in the city. 820 temporary licenses were issued by the Excise Department for parties ranging from homes to hotels, restaurants, banquet halls etc. Licenses were given to commercial and domestic parties. For which fees ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 11,000 were charged.
