The new Kia Seltos has finally been launched in India’s midsize SUV segment. The SUV which was awaited for a long time, has been launched by Kia in the market at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 10.99 lakh. In this segment, the new Seltos will compete directly with popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara. The company has already started its booking and customers can book it for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Information about variant wise prices will also be revealed soon.

New design and strong road presence

  • The look of the new Kia Seltos has been made sharper and stronger than before. A wide grille is provided in the front, with which new vertical LED headlamps and changed DRL design are available. New LED tail lamps have been provided at the rear, which are connected to the light bar. Overall, the stance of the SUV now looks more premium, making it look more powerful on the road.

New and modern layout found in the cabin

  • The interior of the new Seltos has been completely refreshed. It has been given a new dashboard layout, in which a large integrated screen setup is available. This setup includes infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Now the material quality is better than before and the fit-finish also looks more premium. The new platform provides more space in the cabin, especially for the rear passengers.

There is no shortage in features and safety

  • Kia Seltos has always been ahead in terms of features and the new model is also not behind in this. It has dual-zone automatic climate control, Bose sound system, panoramic glass roof, head-up display and connected car technology. For safety, level-2 ADAS, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and hill-start assist are available as standard in all variants.

Engine options and performance

  • Three engine options are given in the new Kia Seltos. It has a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which gives a power of 113bhp. Apart from this, 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine comes with a strong power of 158bhp. For diesel lovers, a 1.5 liter diesel engine has been provided, which generates 118bhp and 260Nm torque. Many options are available for transmission like manual, CVT, iMT and dual-clutch automatic.
