The President was taken to a safe place

After the earthquake alarm was raised, the officials peacefully evacuated the President and the people to a safe place. According to the report of news agency Associated Press, the earthquake in Mexico City was so strong that tall buildings started shaking and people started running out of the buildings towards open spaces.

Metro started shaking due to earthquake

Videos related to Mexico earthquake have surfaced on social media. A user posted a video of the metro station, in which the train can be clearly seen shaking. The user claimed that due to the earthquake, metro service was disrupted for 40 minutes.
