Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was a part of films like ‘Dhadak 2’, ‘Phone Bhoot’ and ‘Gully Boy’, openly expressed his views on working in remake films. By posting on social media, he termed working in the remake of ‘Dear Comrade’ as a rumour.
Siddhant Chaturvedi has broken his silence on the rumors of his casting in the Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu superhit film Dear Comrade. Recently there were reports that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is remaking this film and Pratibha Ranta will be in the lead role along with Siddhant. But Siddhant made it clear on his Instagram account that this news is wrong.
Siddhant broke his silence
Siddhant posted a picture on the stories section of Instagram, which reads “Siddhant will be seen with Pratibha Ranta in the upcoming film.” Breaking his silence on the rumour, he wrote, “Friends, let me make it clear that this is not true. Now no remake for me, I am a fan of the original film and actors, love and respect them a lot, thank you all.”

He further said that he would like to work with the talented actress in the future. He said, “I would love to work with the very talented actress Pratibha Ranta on an original project.”
Dear Comrade, released in the year 2019, became famous for the pairing of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. The film was a story of anger and emotional struggle along with a love story, which was liked a lot by the audience. Dharma Productions had already purchased its remake rights, but due to some reasons the project was stopped. Now the news was that Siddhant and Pratibha will be seen in this remake. Siddhant has worked with Trupti Dimri in Dhadak 2, which was a remake. In such a situation, he has made it clear that now he wants to focus more towards original content.
At the same time, Pratibha Ranta, who worked in Missing Ladies, has also reacted to this rumour. He recently said that such news should not be spread without official announcement, because it causes confusion.
