Major action has been taken after the death of many people due to drinking contaminated water in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This case has attracted the attention of people across the country. In such a situation, questions were also being raised on the role of the Municipal Corporation. After this, as per the orders of the Governor, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner has been replaced by the Chief Secretary.

The Chief Secretary has given instructions to make Kshitij Singhal the new Corporation Commissioner. In view of the incident, former Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav was removed. After which this responsibility was now given to Kshitij Singhal.

CM had given orders to remove Dilip Kumar

In the case of deaths of people, State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had given instructions to remove Dilip Kumar Yadav posted on the post of Municipal Corporation. This was informed by the CM through social media. Let us tell you that the case of death of many people due to drinking contaminated water in Bhagirathpura of Indore has shocked. In view of this, this action was taken by the government.

Local people claimed 15 deaths

Citizens living in Bhagrithupra have claimed that 15 people have died due to contaminated water. However, this claim has not been confirmed by the Health Department. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also seems to be active regarding this matter. The CM has also held a high-level meeting with the officials. Also, the CM has said that any officer who is negligent will not be forgiven.

Many patients admitted to hospital

According to the situation report, it has been informed that the number of diarrhea patients has started from Monday (29 December). According to PTI, till Friday (January 2), about 294 patients were admitted to the hospital, while 93 people have been discharged.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has held a virtual review meeting with the Mayor, Chairman and Commissioner of 16 municipal corporations regarding this incident that took place in Indore. Besides, other officers have been directed to keep strict vigil.
