The date of launching the country’s first hydrogen train on the railway track has been revealed, know everything from speed to fare.

Hydrogen Train: Continuous changes are being seen in Indian Railways for the last several years. New technology, better tracks and environment-friendly experiments are becoming the identity of Railways. In this series, the first hydrogen train is going to start soon in the country. This train has reached Jind and necessary technical preparations are being completed before its operation. At present testing of train and hydrogen plant is going on.

For which expert teams of RDSO from Lucknow are present on the spot. The train will be given the green signal only after detailed inspection of the machines, equipment and safety systems. Let us tell you that this train has been completely designed and developed in India. This is considered to be the world’s longest and most powerful hydrogen train running on broad gauge. When can hydrogen train service start?

Now the biggest question regarding the hydrogen train is when will the passengers get a chance to travel in this train. According to railway officials, the country’s first hydrogen train will run on the Jind to Sonipat route after January 20. At present, trials of train and hydrogen plant are going on.

As soon as the trials and safety tests are completed. The train will be given the green signal. And the train will start for regular passengers. However, its date has not been decided yet. But all the preparations are almost complete. In such a situation, it is believed that this train can start for passengers any time after January 20.

How many passengers will be able to travel?

This hydrogen train has 10 coaches and its total power is 2400 kilowatts. There are two driving power cars in the train. The capacity of each of which is 1200 kilowatts. About 2500 passengers will be able to travel in it at one time. Its maximum speed has been kept at 140 kilometers per hour. Talking about fuel, this train can travel about 180 kilometers with 360 kg hydrogen.

This means that about two kilos of hydrogen will be spent in walking one kilometre. In comparison, a diesel train consumes four and a half liters of diesel in one kilometer. This train has cost about Rs 82 crore and its coaches have been manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai.

The journey would be completely different without sound

This train has been prepared on the lines of metro. The train will leave the station only after the coach doors are completely closed. There will be almost no sound during running. Due to which the passengers will get a calm and comfortable traveling experience. Fans, lights, AC and digital displays have been installed in every coach. On which information about the next station will be available in advance.

The engine is completely based on hydrogen fuel cell technology. In this, electricity is generated by the controlled reaction of hydrogen and oxygen. Which charges the battery. Instead of smoke, only water and steam come out. Due to which carbon emission remains nominal and its impact on the environment is very less.
