America attacked Venezuela on January 3
On January 3, America launched a military attack on Caracas. In this action, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were arrested at their residence located on the military base. Both have been sent to America. They will be prosecuted.
America will temporarily have administrative control of Venezuela. He will work on a plan to sell huge oil reserves to other countries.
What are the charges against Maduro?
Maduro is accused of drug smuggling. Venezuelan officials had accused him of drug smuggling in the year 2020. The US Justice Department had described Maduro as a corrupt and illegal government.
The military operation conducted by America lasted only for 30 minutes. During this period, news of 7 explosions came to light. This action has been criticized by Russia. Russia has said that America should release the legitimately elected President of the sovereign country and his wife. Apart from this, China said that both the countries should resolve any dispute through dialogue.
