Soha Ali Khan reached Eden Gardens in memory of father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, shared the video and wrote an emotional note.

Mansoor Ali Khan was not only a great cricketer but also the captain of the Indian national team. On his birthday, his daughter and Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan visited the famous stadium Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Soha also shared the video of this tour on her social media.

Soha posted a video on her Instagram account, in which she is seen roaming in the stadium. He also showed some old glimpses of his father’s 1974 Test match. In this match, India won against West Indies and this victory became a memorable example of his father’s captaincy. Posting the video, Soha wrote- ‘I wanted to stand on the ground where my father played and led India many times. Even though the stadium was empty at that time, the memory of my father always remains alive here.

The bone in the mouth was broken during the match
Soha further wrote- ‘That Test match of 1974 is still considered the most memorable match in the history of Indian cricket. In this match, he was hit on the face by a ball from Andy Roberts, a bone in his mouth was broken, yet instead of leaving the field, he led the team and led India to victory by 85 runs. His example of courage and dedication in this match remains an inspiration for cricket lovers even today.

While wishing her father on his birthday, Soha wrote – ‘The memory of my father will always be alive in the stadium. Abba will always be a great cricketer for me.
