US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (January 6, 2026) gave detailed information about the attack on Venezuela. Addressing House Republicans, Trump praised his troops for the US operation being conducted in Venezuela targeting Nicolas Maduro. He said that the United States has once again proved that we have the most powerful, most lethal, and most feared military on earth and there is no one even close to it. Trump said that no one could have done what America did.

Donald Trump said that before carrying out the operation, the electricity of the entire Venezuela was cut off at once, after which people started understanding that something was going to happen. He told, ‘This operation was very dangerous. We had 152 fighter jets in the sky and many soldiers on the ground too. Not a single soldier of ours was killed, on the other hand, many people lost their lives. Although the death of people is unfortunate. In Caracas people lit candles for light. Our army’s move was brilliant in terms of strategy.

Referring to Nicolas Maduro, Trump said, ‘I was after this man for years. Everyone knows that he is a person who believes in violence. He tortured and killed millions of people. He said that the Venezuelan government was building a torture chamber in the middle of the capital Caracas, which has now been closed. Trump claimed that the protesters demanding Maduro’s release were called on money.

He also targeted the Democrats and said that they are not ready to accept the success of this operation. He said, ‘Someday they should say that we did a very good job. Wasn’t this a good job? If they feel that their actions have benefited the country, they will give credit even to their political opponents.

The American President is also afraid of losing his seat. At a meeting of House Republican lawmakers in Washington, he said, ‘You have to win the midterm elections, because if we do not win the midterm elections, they (the opposition) will find some excuse to impeach me. I will have to face impeachment. Trump’s agenda is at stake in the elections to be held in November, when all the seats in the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate seats will be contested.
