Netflix has bought the OTT rights of ‘Akhanda 2’, while its release on the digital platform was scheduled for January 9. Although Netflix did not release any official poster or announcement confirming the release date, the film’s name had previously appeared in the platform’s catalog during searches. This led many people to think that the film would be released this Friday. However, the name has now been quietly removed from the catalog and the previously active link is no longer redirecting to the film. This is indicating that the OTT release of ‘Akhanda 2’ has been postponed. However, it is expected that Netflix will soon announce the confirmed date of OTT release of this film.

The pace of ‘Akhanda 2’ at the box office has slowed down considerably, the film collected a net of around Rs 25 lakh in India on the 23rd day. The film had the same collection on the 22nd day also. Its total Indian nett earning has now reached Rs 93.65 crore, as per the report of Sacknilk website, the film had earned around Rs 93.40 crore after 22 days. The earning of the third week was Rs 4.1 crore. This is a huge decline of 66.67 percent compared to previous weeks. However, ‘Akhanda 2’ is now slowly moving towards the Rs 100 crore mark.
