Mastermind of robbery and firing worth Rs 47 lakh arrested, Mumbai Police was searching for him for a year

Police has achieved great success against organized crime in Mumbai. Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg Police has arrested the main accused Kailash alias K.P., who has been absconding for a long time, in a serious case registered under Mokka (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act). 54-year-old Kailash is accused of looting gold jewelery worth Rs 47 lakh last year and injuring a youth by firing. According to the police, Kailash was the mastermind of this incident and has been committing serious crimes by forming different gangs.

DCP Praveen Mundhe of Zone-1 of Mumbai Police said that this incident took place on January 6, 2025 at around 10:30 pm. P.D. in Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg police station area. The complainant was going on his scooter near the Blue Gate of Melo Road. Then 3 to 4 unknown miscreants blocked the way.

The accused beat up the complainant and fired two bullets at his nephew with the intention of killing him. After this, the miscreants fled from the spot after looting gold jewelery worth about Rs 47,27,000.

Case registered under many sections including Mokka

After the incident, a case was registered at Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg police station under various sections of the Indian Justice Code, Maharashtra Police Act and Mokka. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately started technical investigation and intensified the search for the accused on the basis of CCTV footage and other inputs.

Mastermind caught after arrest of 4 accused

During the investigation, based on secret information, the police had already arrested four accused in this case. During interrogation it became clear that Kailash alias KP was behind this entire conspiracy. He is the main architect.

Police investigation revealed that Kailash is a habitual criminal and every time he forms a new gang and commits robbery, firing and other serious crimes. About 35 serious cases are registered against him in many cities including Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Dhule. He was also wanted in another Mokka case registered at Nagpada police station.

Location changed in many states

Since the incident, Kailash was continuously changing his location. He was hiding in many states like Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. To catch him, the police formed a special team, which kept tracking his location continuously.

After about a year of hard work, the police got concrete information that Kailash was active in Thane suburb and was about to come to Neral Bazarpeth area of ​​Raigarh district.

Trap laid in disguise, arrested with weapons

Due to the knowledge of Kailash always carrying weapons and being dangerous, the crime detection team disguised himself and laid a trap in Neral market. As soon as the suspect reached there after waiting for several hours, the team identified him as Kailash and surrounded him and caught him. After the arrest, a pistol, five live cartridges and looted goods worth Rs 12,91,100 were recovered from him.

At present Kailash alias K.P. The police is in custody and his interrogation is ongoing. Police hope that during his interrogation, more important revelations may be made regarding his network and other pending cases. Mumbai Police says that such action against organized crime will continue in future also.
