A huge cache of illegal liquor has been recovered on Delhi Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district of Rajasthan. The cartoons of liquor were kept hidden under sacks of rice in the truck. The value of the recovered liquor is said to be around Rs 1.5 crore. Rajasthan’s Anti Gangster Task Force and Dausa district police have jointly taken this action. Action was taken on the accurate information of the informer. The police have arrested the mastermind in this liquor smuggling case.
According to the information, 415 bags of rice were kept in the truck. 1071 cartons of liquor of Royal Challenge, Royal Stag and McDowells brands have been recovered from under the sacks of rice.
Liquor recovered during search of truck on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
Police spokesperson said on Saturday (January 10) that this action was taken under the direction of Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) ADG Dinesh MN. In a joint action between AGTF and Dausa Sadar Police, a suspicious truck was searched on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, after which this cache of liquor was recovered. 415 bags of rice were loaded in this truck and Punjab brand liquor was hidden below.
Liquor was being taken from Sirsa to Gujarat
This liquor was being taken to Gujarat after being loaded from Sirsa in Haryana. Police has arrested the smuggling mastermind Dinesh Jat, a resident of Barmer. Sixty thousand rupees have also been recovered from him. In the action conducted under the supervision of Anti Gangster Task Force ADG Dinesh MN, the police also seized the truck carrying liquor.
Earlier, on January 3, 2026, Barmer Police had taken major action against illegal drug trade and raided the RICO area. During this period, 12,645 banned tablets were seized, which included 1,329 combipack kits and 6,645 tablets. These banned items were recovered hidden in a plastic bag.
