Vivaan Shah, who got roles in big films like ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, ‘Happy New Year’, and ‘Bombay Velvet’ released in 2011, may come from a film background, but he got the films on the basis of his hard work. After working with ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, he got three films back to back, after which he never looked back. The actor is going to celebrate his 36th birthday tomorrow i.e. on 11th January.
Born on 11 January in Mumbai, Vivaan comes from a film background. He is the son of Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak. Vivaan always saw his father dedicated towards art and acting and this was the reason why he also considered art and acting as his worship, but there came a time when the actor regretted why he had not listened to his parents.
Vivaan was lost in the glamor of cinema
After working in films like ‘Saat Khoon Maaf,’ ‘Happy New Year,’ and ‘Bombay Velvet’, Vivaan started feeling like a superstar and he got the support of some people in the industry who made him feel again and again that he was the son of a big star. Vivaan got distracted from his work and got lost in the glamor of cinema, but he soon realized his mistake and remembered the advice his parents had given him at the beginning of his career.
Remembered parents’ advice
Vivaan himself had revealed in an interview that he had taken a wrong decision in the initial phase of his career. He had said that when I started in 2010, this industry was completely different. I also had the desire and greed for stardom, but I never worked hard for it. He further said that it is completely my fault that I became a victim of that kind of thinking.
My parents always told me to stay away from such people. He used to tell me that if I am interested in acting and I really like it, then I should become an actor. He also said that if I want to become a star, I will have to work very hard for it. I have to do a different kind of hard work, which will make me different from everyone else.

Let us tell you, Vivaan Shah is continuously active in films and he was last seen in the recently released film ‘Ikkis’, where he played the role of Captain Vijendra Malhotra.
