‘…So America-Israel’, Iran threatened, more than 500 died in anti-government protests in the country

Amidst the ongoing anti-government protests in Iran, Tehran has warned that if America attacks them, they will target American soldiers and Israel. The death toll during these demonstrations has crossed 500. US-based Human Rights Activist News Agency reported that apart from these deaths, more than 10,600 people have been arrested in Iran.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said that in the event of a US attack, US military assets and Israel would be considered valid targets. He gave this threat when the MPs were raising slogans of Down with America during the live session of Parliament. Qalibaf praised Iran’s security forces for standing firm during the unrest and issued a stern warning to protesters.

He said, ‘The people of Iran should know that we will deal with them (US-Israel) in a very strict manner and will give strict punishment to those arrested.’ Describing Israel as an occupied territory, he said, ‘In case of an attack on Iran, the occupied territory and all American military centers, bases and ships present in this area will be our target.’ He said that Iran will not be limited to retaliating after the attack.

What did the Iranian President say
Iranian President Masoud Pezheshkian has accused America and Israel of spreading unrest in Iran. He said that America and Israel are directing rioters and terrorists to destabilize Iran. He said that Iran’s enemies want to spread chaos and disorder in the country and appealed to the citizens to maintain distance from violent elements. At the same time, Pezheshkian tried to adopt a conciliatory attitude towards peaceful protests.

He said, ‘People have many concerns, we should sit with them and if it is our duty then we should solve their problems.’ He also said, ‘It is an even bigger duty that we do not allow the rioters to destroy the entire society.’
